Beer sales at Harry’s Bar in Singapore had doubled after it introduced an original simple and smart communication tool: “The Beer Bottle Message”. A simple QR code tags for beer bottles that let the customer enter a message for another person to read (after you’ve written something, flip over the tag, buy another beer and place the tag over it) and make it easier for shy locals to meet each other at the bar and at least but not last to double their sales during happy hour!

Why we like it?

It’s the way they used the technology. Too many companies have introduced QR Codes to only drive customers to their points of sale or website but very few actually know how to make-up with the technology to deliver a funny and useful experience for their customer and them. Harry’s is one of those few that understand how technologies and commodities are supposed to connect people and build relationships.
A smart communication move!
